Married with Children

Married with Children was an American sitcom that ran for about ten years from 1987 to 1997. It is based on a dysfunctional family that lives in Chicago and struggles with money as well as intelligence. The popular and catchy introductory theme song was Frank Sinatra's "Love and Marriage" hit.

The television boasted great reviews and even received several Golden Globe and Emmy nominations during its ten year period. While Al Bundy (played by Ed O'Neil), Peggy (Katey Segal), and Kelly (Christina Applegate), continued on to act in many major films and television shows, the youngest Bundy, Bud, was left with little to no acting gigs after the show but still maintains notoriety from the popular show.

It's neat today how students have decals on their parents vehicles indicating the sport they play or their high school band instrument. You've seen them a million times, a football helmet decal with #27 Jason and the team name. The concept and produ... More>

In fairness, it's too easy to suggest that "edge" is merely a four-letter word for a gaggle of four-letter gags. And, frankly, the minute the four-letter words begin their onslaught, that's when I gag. "Oh, come on!" others will rejoin. (Or, in the ... More>

Married with Children Cast

Al Bundy  (played by Ed O'Neil) - Al Bundy is a boring and worthless women's shoes salesman. Once a popular jock in high school, Al scored four touchdowns in one single game. Gone are the days of luck, passion, and happiness. Al is now broke and unhappy with his money-grubbing wife and two foolish children.

Peggy Bundy (played by Katey Sagal) - Peggy Bundy is a selfish and inattentive mother who boasts a big red hair. She does not work, but watches TV all day and nags Al for money and a better life. She laughs at her children and husband's plea for food relishes in their unmet needs.

Kelly Bundy (played by Christina Applegate) - Is the oldest of the two children and is a perfect example of the stereotypical dumb blond. She is beautiful, ditsy, and has a hard time finished thoughts or correctly pronouncing the simplest of words. She constantly makes fun of her younger brother, but has occasionally gotten along with him.

Bud Bundy (played by David Faustino) - Bud is the youngest of the Bundy children and the only member of the family to attend college. His awkwardness and lack of women skills leaves him the butt of many family jokes, especially Kelly's.
